Short Courses
As a Construction Skills Queensland (CSQ) Registered Training Supplier, Orbus3 is proud to be a recipient again of (CSQ) funding for 2021/22.
We currently offer a range of funded short courses but places are limited. To be eligible for Construction Skills Queensland (CSQ) subsidised or fully funded training courses, participants must as a minimum be:
- A participant who has the right to work in Australia and is an Eligible Worker or Unemployed Eligible Worker in Queensland
For those who don’t qualify for CSQ funding, short courses are available from as little as $225 per course. Contact us today for more information

Funding Options
Queensland State Government User Choice Funding
Funding is available from the Queensland Government. Eligibility criteria apply and as a minimum you are:
- A Queensland resident
- An Australian or New Zealand citizen or permanent resident
- Do not hold two or more qualifications funded under the User Choice 2017-20 Program
Please Note: There is a Student Co-Contribution Fee (currently set at $1.60 per nominal hour) which is based on the total nominal hours of each qualification. This varies from between $500 and $1,400 per qualification depending on the electives chosen. Employers may choose to cover this cost on behalf of their employees.
Employer Federal Government Incentive
If you are an employer whose employee qualifies for state User Choice funding and your employee has worked for you for less than 3 months full-time or 12 months part-time/casual or a combination of both, you may be eligible for Federal Employer Incentives of up to $4,000. Construction Skills Queensland [CSQ] Funding
If you do not qualify for State funding you may still be able to access funding. As a CSQ Registered Training Supplier [RTS] Orbus3 is proud to be a recipient again of [CSQ] funding for 2021/22.
We currently offer the CSQ Skills Assessment and Gap Training [SAGT] for the Civil Construction and Plant Operations programs. This funding is accessible to those who have on-the-job experience but do not hold the formal qualification.
To be eligible for Construction Skills Queensland (CSQ) subsidised or fully funded training courses, participants must as a minimum be:
- A participant who has the right to work in Australia and is an Eligible Worker or Unemployed Eligible Worker in Queensland
- Experienced in the civil construction industry (70% of the course must be achieved through Recognition of Prior Learning [RPL] and gap training is provided for the remainder of the qualification)
Funding Options
Construction Skills Queensland (CSQ) Funding
As a Construction Skills Queensland [CSQ] Registered Training Supplier [RTS] Orbus3 is proud to be a recipient again of a funding contract for 2021/22.
CSQ is very committed to advance and expand the industry’s Higher Level Skills. To be eligible for CSQ subsidised or fully funded training courses, participants must as a minimum be:
- A participant who has the right to work in Australia and is an Eligible Worker or Unemployed Eligible Worker in Queensland
- And if an Apprentice or Trainee, participants must have completed at least 50% of their Registered Training Plan for their Apprenticeship or Traineeship
- Experienced in the civil construction industry
State and Federal Funding
There is no State or Federal funding available for this qualification at this time but Orbus3 offer this qualification on a fee for service basis, if a participant does not qualify for CSQ funding or if there is no CSQ funding remaining.
