Short Courses
As a Construction Skills Queensland (CSQ) Registered Training Supplier, Orbus3 is proud to be a recipient again of (CSQ) funding for 2024/25.
CSQ contributes towards the cost of courses to reduce the cost to participants. CSQ funding is paid directly to Orbus3 as the contracted RTO, generally between 75% and 100% of course costs.
We currently offer a range of funded short courses but places are limited. To be eligible for Construction Skills Queensland (CSQ) subsidised or fully funded training courses, participants must as a minimum be:
- an Australian or New Zealand Citizen, or Permanent Resident, or
- a Participant who has the right to work and study in Australia on a VISA and has been employed in the Construction Industry for 6 months or more
and is
- 15 years of age or older
- eligible Worker in Qld
- an unemployed Eligible Worker who has been unemployed for a period not greater than 6 months in Queensland.

Full Qualifications
If you choose to study any of the following qualifications you may be eligible for the funding detailed below.
Construction Skills Queensland [CSQ] Funding
If you do not qualify for State funding you may still be able to access funding. As a CSQ Registered Training Supplier [RTS] Orbus3 is proud to be a recipient again of [CSQ] funding for 2025/26 Skills Assessment and Gap Training (SAGT).
Funding is offered to support existing workers and new entrants to gain the RII30920 Certificate III in Civil Construction or RII30280 Certificate III in Civil Construction Plant Operations qualifications. The SAGT program helps established workers with strong experience and good skill levels in a given trade area, but who require gap training to gain a qualification.
To be eligible for Construction Skills Queensland (CSQ) subsidised or fully funded training courses, participants must as a minimum be:
- an Australian or New Zealand Citizen or a Permanent Resident, or
- a Participant on a valid VISA prescribe by CSQ, who has been employed in the Construction Industry for a period of 6 months or more,
and is
- an eligible worker in Queensland, or is
- an unemployed eligible worker who has been unemployed for a period not greater than 6 months in Queensland
and is
- able to demonstrate RPL experience in 70% or more of the competencies required to complete the full qualification.

CSQ is very committed to advance and expand the industry’s Higher Qualifications. To be eligible for CSQ subsidised or fully funded training courses, participants must as a minimum be:
- A participant who has the right to work in Australia and is an Eligible Worker or Unemployed Eligible Worker in Queensland
- Experienced in the civil construction industry
